WINTER PRAGUE

some friends visited for the holidays so i spent some time walking with them around the touristic places of prague and i have to admit that i liked it. there is still no snow here and the weather is relatively warm. even though i am not a fan of the cold weather i hope we'll get some snow finally and everything around will be white and beautiful.

няколко приятели ме посетиха за празниците и прекарах известно време разхождайки се из прага като турист и да си призная ми хареса. тук все още няма сняг и времето е значително топло, пролетно. въпреки че не обичам студа искрено се надявам зимата най-накрая да пристигне и да боядиса всичко в бяло.

MY AMERICAN ADVENTURE

hello my lovely friends on the other side of the screen and happy new year. 

the first days of the year here were a bit quiet because i wanted to finish my small magazine with photos and stories about my journey in the usa. from august to september 2013 i visited the united states and this was one of the most impressive adventures in my life. if you are curious what i've seen there and where i've been, you can check out my little magazine. i hope you will enjoy it and be inspired too.

първите дни от 2014 бяха мъничко тихи тук, защото исках да завърша моето малко списание с фотографии и думи за моето пътешествие в америка. през август и септември 2013 аз посетих съединените щати и това бе едно от най-впечатляващите приключения в живота ми. ако сте любопитни за това, къде се скитах и какво видях, моля чувствайте се свободни да разлистите моето малко списание. надявам се, че ще ви хареса и ще ви вдъхнови.

LAST DAYS OF THE YEAR

i have always loved the last days of the year. at that time, because of the holidays, i have more time to work on my own things, although I don’t like to make resolutions and give estimates. however, this year was full of changes and i admit - i love changes a lot. :)

one of the things I did during those few days was a brand new website for my photography portfolio. i wanted something clean and simple, a website that shows the pictures in a clean way, with easy navigation. you can see it here and i would love to hear if you like or not.

i have to mention it again that I just love the logo which made for me the fantastic małgosia małecka of "hello calligraphy".

and now the only think that I have to do is to go through the archives and fill my portfolio with photos.

винаги съм обичала последните дни на годината. тогава, заради празниците имам повече време да помисля за моите неща, въпреки че не обичам да правя резолюции и да давам оценки. тази година обаче е пълна с толкова много промени, а аз признавам си - много ги обичам. 

една от мъничките изменения, които направих през тези няколко свободни дни - беше изцяло новия вид на моето портфолио. исках чист и семпъл уебсайт, в който снимките да се виждат и навигацията да е лесна. ако ви е любопитно можете да надникнете оттук. признавам си, че много харесвам логото, което ми направи фантастичната małgosia małecka от hello calligraphy. 

сега остава да се разровя из архивите и да запълня портфолиото си със снимки.

i'm a longtime fan of the work of mikkel vang. one of my favorite of his projects from this year, besides the christmas campaign for h&m home,  is the work for the finish design company iittala. the styling is simple and timeless and the pictures are so beautiful and airy.

аз съм голям почитател на работата на mikkel vang. един от любимите ми негови проекти от тази година, като изключим коледната кампания за h&m home, е работата за финландската компания iittala. стайлингът е изчистен и неподвластен на времето, а снимките са много красиви.

it is so exciting for me to look a bit into the life of someone who i truly admire. pia ulin is a swedish photographer who divides her time between brooklyn, new york and stockholm. she has worked with some of the most talented and creative names that i can think of. her work is so fantastic for me and is a real pleasure to read her interview for residence magazine and to peek into her studio and home in brooklyn.

толкова е вълнуващо за мен да надникна малко повече в живота на някой, на когото искрено се възхищавам. пиа улин е шведска фотографка, която дели времето си между бруклин, ню йорк и стокхолм. работила е с някой от най-талантливите и креативни имена, за които аз мога да се сетя. работата и просто е фантастична и за мен е истинско удоволствие да прочета нейното интервю за residence magazine и да надникна в нейното студио и дом в бруклин.

GREAT STORIES AND PORTRAITS OF BOSTON

i'm fascinated by a web site that I found yesterday! “portraits of boston” is a very interesting project, that displays people photographed in boston with their short story. it could be a quote that is important for person photographed, the relationship that they might have or something else. besides the gorgeous portraits you can really read a lot of inspiring words and stories there. the photographer ivan velinov had this great idea to show all the strangers in boston in a little bit different way. i strongly recommend to visit it.

The Colors of San Francisco

In less than a month I will pack my luggage, I’ll leave my poor fat Sam with my mum in Varna, because he can’t travel with me and will head to USA! And because of that I'm starting to look around for an interesting places to visit in this huge country. One of the cities that I would love to visit is the fairy San Francisco. And while I was searching for information about it I found the gorgeous pictures by Anne-Solange Tardy for Cachemire & Soie. What a wonderful colors this city has! So delicate and pastel that can’t wait to see it myself.

Приблизително след около месец ще стегна багажа си, ще оставя кученцето си на сигурно място при майка ми във Варна и ще отлетя за Америка. И с приближаването на август все повече започвам да се оглеждам за интересни места в тази така голяма държава. Един от градовете, които много искам да посетя е приказния Сан Франциско. Докато търсех информация за този град попаднах на тези изключителни снимки направени от Anne-Solange Tardy за Cachemire & Soie. Какви прекрасни цветове има само този град? Толкова нежни и пастелни, че нямам търпение да ги усетя и видя.

Festival of the Roses in Bulgaria // Фестивал на розата в България

One of the places that I've always wanted to visit and feel is the Festival of the roses in Kazanluk, Bulgaria. This time again I couldn't make it, but thanks to the fantastic pictures taken by Alexandra Pavlova we can feel the mood in the Rose Valley. This valley is famous for its rose-growing industry. The gathering process is traditionally a women's task, where from May to June the flowers are carefully cut one by one and laid in baskets.

Едно от местата, които винаги съм искала да посетя, видя и усетя е Фестивалът на розата в Казанлък. И тази година не ми се получи, но благодарение на фантастичните снимки на Александра Павлова имаме възможност да надникнем и ние в долината на розите. Тази долина е известна с това, че там розите се отглеждат с цел произвеждането на розово масло. Розоберът е традиционно работа на жените, които от май до юни събират цветовете на всяка една роза и внимателно го поставят в кошници.
